| OUR MISSION |
| The National Association of African-Americans in the Department of Homeland Security (NAADHS)
is a solution oriented non-profit 501 (c) organization comprised of positive people
personifying professionalism through unity, integrity and perseverance. The mission
of NAADHS is to further promote “Team DHS” by assuring equitable hiring and training
as well as nurturing and improving the relationship of DHS within the community. NAADHS symbolizes the impeccable strength of each member striving for eternal peace within each component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The organization was established based on the dreams of the founders who pierced the way for people seeking distinction and perfection through hard work and dedication. The goals of NAADHS are achieved through bonding with individuals at every level within the DHS, to create a stalwart bond for a definitive purpose. |
| Our Activities |
| NAADHS will sponsor its 3rd Annual Professional Development Training Conference in
2008, which will be hosted by NAADHS members in San Diego, CA. Tentatively, the
conference will include but not limited to: meetings, workshops, panels, guest speakers,
and open discussions. Also in 2008, NAADHS will present SCHOLARSHIPS to students and participate in a community service project. The association strives to provide continuous links of communications for its members, by creating alliances with other non-profit organizations as well as federal, state and city agencies that share common concerns. |
